A pop-up bar beside the Great Bath will serve mulled wine, hot chocolate, and a selection of festive drinks every afternoon during Bath Christmas Market (27 November - 14 December) and over the festive weekends of 18 - 21 and 27 - 28 December. As dusk falls, flaming torches cast a warm glow across the water, creating a truly enchanting backdrop.

3. Catch a festive local choir performance

New for this year, the Great Bath will come alive with the sound of local choirs and musicians in ‘Winter Warmer’ sessions on 17, 18, 19 and 21 December. Taking place from 4.30pm to 5.30pm each day, the varied programme includes the West Wiltshire Young Singers, Courage Family Choir & Friends, Bath Brass Band, and Bath Folk Singers.

Children can pick up a Saturnalia spotting trail and discover how the Romans celebrated winter with traditions that echo today’s holidays.Or celebrate 250 years since Jane Austen’s birth with a Georgian Christmas craft session, where children can create a greetings card featuring a Georgian building with a surprise behind thedoor! Drop-in sessions run on 20, 22 and 23 December, included in admission.
