About

Located in Broad Street, The Coconut Tree offers a uniquely Sri Lankan authentic dining experience, unlike any other restaurant in Bath. From the warm hospitality to the freshly prepared dishes and delicious island Cocotails, the passion for all things Sri Lankan shines through.

Each visit is more than a meal – it’s an experience. With customers, communities and everyone who works for TCT treated as extended family, ‘everyone is welcome to the table’. Since opening in 2021, The Coconut Tree has become a popular choice for locals and visitor alike.

With plates made for sharing, the menu at The Coconut Tree is characterised by the distinctive spice blends and rich cultural influences that define Sri Lankan Eats. Experience an explosion of flavours with numerous vegan and vegetarian options, as well as meats and fish, all freshly prepared just as they would be back in Sri Lanka.

Popular dishes include ‘Hot Battered Calamari’, ‘Cashew Nuts and Green Peas’ soaked and cooked in coconut cream, ‘Cheesy Colombo’ – cheese cubes fried and mixed Colombo style. ‘Black Pork’ is also a firm favourite, which consists of diced pork belly cooked in 30 roasted spices. Finally ‘Kotthu’, a fine example of Sri Lankan street food made with chopped rotti and vegetables, is always a popular choice.

And nothing captures the island vibe quite like a ‘Cocotail’. With options for every taste, the Cocotail menu leans heavily on authentic Sri Lankan flavours and ingredients including turmeric, cinnamon and Ceylon Arrack. With low and no alcohol options too, there’s something for everyone!

Good Food, Good People, Good Times.
