About

The Hunters Rest Inn was originally built around 1750, and is set in beautiful countryside high on Clutton Hill with great views of the Mendip Hills and Chew Valley.

This privately owned free house is renowned for its homemade food, well stocked cellar and warm welcome. In winter, log fires crackle in the hearths while in summer, the landscaped gardens are ideal for a cooling drink.

You can expect a range of pub classics on the menu, including a Ploughman's, soup of the day, burgers, filled rolls and steak with chips. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are marked on the menu. Please ask the team if you are unsure about any dishes.

All food on the menu is homemade and many dishes can be tailored to meet your dietary or allergy requirements. Please advise the team of all allergies & ask for advice before ordering. Place your order at the bar.

The Hunters Rest also has several en-suite bedrooms with antique furniture and free wi-fi.
