The Oyster Shell

About

The latest venture from the owners of The Scallop Shell in Monmouth Place, The Oyster Shell brings their restaurant-quality food to the takeaway format. A traditional chippy with a focus on the best of British fish and chips cooked to order, it’s a family business through and through, run day-to-day by Dan Rosser, alongside parents Lisa and Garry.

Flying the flag for a sustainable and responsibly sourced catch, The Oyster Shell is passionate about provenance and providing the best possible quality. MSC-approved cod and haddock are caught in the North Atlantic Ocean and are prepared and frozen at sea within 24 hours, ensuring fantastic freshness and consistency. You’ll also find the likes of Scottish langoustine tails, locally-sourced Cumberland sausages and chicken breasts, all accompanied by chips cut from the best seasonal spuds, while bubble and squeak Scotch eggs, cod and parsley fishcakes and all their delicious sauces are homemade in house.

The Oyster Shell is open for lunch from 12noon – 2.30pm Tuesday to Saturday and 4.30 – 8.30pm Tuesday to Thursday and until 9pm on Friday and Saturday, with a local delivery service available on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. You can download the app or order online at www.theoystershell.co.uk.
