About

Woodchester Valley is a multi award-winning, single estate vineyard and winery planted on the steep limestone soils of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Based across three sites, covering 58 acres in the Stroud Valleys, Woodchester Valley focus on small production, high quality still and sparkling wines which reflect a sense of time and place.

Woodchester Valley is a member of the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain scheme and they work hard to continue to reduce their impact on the environment throughout every aspect of the business. Grape varieties they grow include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Bacchus, Seyval Blanc and Regent and our range of wines includes traditional method sparkling wines and still white and rosé wines.

Woodchester Valley welcome visitors to the vineyard throughout the year for fun and informative vineyard tours, wine tastings and other events. As a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice winner for the past 3 years, they have a fantastic team and their tours are highly rated.

Opt for one of their regular vineyard tours where you’ll learn about grape growing in the UK, the lifecycle of the vines, the processes for making still and sparkling wines in their winery, and of course try a range of their award-wining wines. Or if something different takes your fancy, check out the events held at the vineyard – from Fizz & Chips, Cheese & Wine nights, to Vineyard Dog walks and many more. Or if you are passing, just swing by their Cellar Door shop where you can sample and pick up their full range of wines.

For those wanting to make the most of their trip, Woodchester Valley has a range of beautifully appointed accommodation at the vineyard with stunning views across the Stroud Valleys. Stay in one of their spacious vineyard barns, put your feet up and relax with a glass of wine and a view – the perfect way to end your day there. Or get a group together and check out the 6 bedroom Woodchester Valley House – ideal for families or groups of friends wanting to spend a few days in the Cotswolds.

Woodchester Valley is located about a 45 minute drive from Bath & Bristol, just outside Stroud.
