Yak Yeti Yak is a ‘one of a kind’ restaurant, Inspired by owners, Sera and Sarah Gurung's former lives as Himalayan guides and their love of Nepalese food and atmosphere.
A fish trap made by jungle fishermen, a wooden saddle from the nomadic tribesmen of the Tibetan plateau and the Yak Yeti Yak banner that has been to the summit of Everest are amongst the array of curios you'll find adorning the walls.
One of Bath's longest serving restaurants, Yak Yeti Yak is relaxed and friendly a restaurant where you are made to feel at home. The menu is based of a collection of recipes gathered by the owners from their travels, living alongside locals.
Here ancient culinary customs and future trends coexist as you tuck into a plate of Himalayan steamed dumplings ‘Momos’, a stir-fry curry cooked with jungle herbs or carrot tart, a contemporary incarnation of a Kathmandu classic.
The menu has plenty for you to choose from set meals to individual mix and match dishes. All main meals are cooked to order, you can choose how hot, or not, you would like your meal.
Enjoy one of the special house cocktails while you sit in one of the 3 main dining areas, the Nepalese dinning room with low tables and floor cushions or alfresco in the courtyard, weather permitting.
Yak Yeti Yak welcomes well-behaved dogs.
The restaurant is in the basement of a listed Georgian house so access is via stairs. Accessibile toilets, assistance dogs permitted.
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and halal options are available.
Children are welcome. Highchairs and buggy parking in restaurant, and the venue is breastfeeding friendly.
The restaurant uses locally-sourced produce, Fairtrade products and organic produce on menu. The menu is in-season and a food waste policy is in place. Many plant-based options are available.
