About
On this entertaining two-hour walking tour of Bath with award-winning, professional Blue Badge tour guide and Bath resident Fred Mawer, you will visit the many locations where the Netflix hit Bridgerton was filmed.
These include the Royal Crescent (home of the pushy Featheringtons), Abbey Green (setting for the Modiste) and Holburne Museum (Lady Danbury’s mansion). You’ll also discover how streets in Bath were turned into Regency Mayfair in London.
The tour will cover in detail what was filmed in Bath across all Bridgerton’s seasons and the spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Fred will provide lots of behind-the-scenes snippets about the filming, and give insights into the accuracy of Bridgerton's portrayal of life in Regency England.
Bath is frequently used for all sorts of filming, and the tour will explain why it is so popular.
Fred will also touch on other famous films with scenes shot in the city, such as The Duchess and Les Miserables, and highlight recent large-scale productions filmed in Bath. Parts of the city were turned into a winter wonderland for the filming of Wonka, the blockbuster prequel to Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory story.
Scenes in the latest adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion (another Netflix production) were filmed in Bath. You’ll also learn about large-scale filming in Bath for Seven Dials, Netflix’s new Agatha Christie drama.
This is a private walking tour. Contact Fred to fix a date and time for the tour.
