Sustainability
Across our businesses in Bath; including our guided outdoor activities, outdoor equipment rental & bike/outdoor shop we look at every area of our business to identify how we can improve our environmental impact & 'keep it local' principles.
- We employ locally & Lin the process of developing a local apprenticeship scheme.
- We stock more British made products than any other business operating in our sector.
- We don't stock 'shelf filler rubbish' just to make extra margin, if we don't use it we don't stock it.
- We support a local youth mentoring charity through the provision of free guided activities.
- Since opening our businesses we having recycled all the packaging we receive from our suppliers. Excess cardboard packaging we can't use is recycled by a local horticultural business called 'Seasonal Blooms'. Old bike inner tubes are picked up and recycled by 'Schwalbe. Anything we can't recycle ourselves we advertise or locally recycle. When we see rubbish, we pick it up and dispose of it.. perhaps it may inspire others to do the same.
- We use catchment rainwater for cleaning with eco products. - In every other area of our business we adopt practical methods for the most sustainable outcomes. Mostly we use common sense...
