About

Families looking for a fun and free activity during the Easter holidays are encouraged to visit Beckford's Tower for the Beckford's Secret Garden Trail, running from March 28th to April 14th, 2024. The garden is adorned with hidden decorated bunnies, adding a delightful twist to the traditional Easter egg hunt. Visitors can collect a trail map from inside the Tower Gatehouse and embark on a quest to find all 16 named bunnies.

While the Tower itself remains closed, families can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the grounds, including Lansdown Cemetery, which offers a serene backdrop for the bunny hunt. It's emphasized that this is a self-led activity, and children must be accompanied by adults while exploring the cemetery. Visitors are asked to stay on the designated paths and be considerate of others enjoying the space.

Participants are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #beckfordssecretgarden and by tagging @beckfordstower. Additionally, families can unleash their creativity by crafting stories about their favorite bunny on the back of the trail map and emailing them to the provided address.

As a reminder, Beckford's Tower and Museum remain closed to the public until late spring 2024. However, the Secret Garden Trail offers a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature and enjoy some outdoor fun together.
