About

This September marks 450 years since Queen Elizabeth I visited Longleat during her 1574 Progress through the West Country. Discover this significant event in Longleat's early history through a display of original documents relating to the visit.

Against the backdrop of the Great Hall – Longleat's only surviving Elizabethan interior – visitors will also be able to view Elizabeth I costumes from film and TV, including sumptuous replica coronation robes worn by Cate Blanchett and a magnificent gown worn by Dame Helen Mirren.
