Guided by expert tutors Lucy Mellor and Polly Mellor, this elegant workshop begins with an introduction to the fundamental principles of this beautiful and calming art form. You will master how to hold a dip pen, exploring the pressures and rhythms that create calligraphy's distinctive contrasting strokes, before progressing to the upper and lower script alphabet, letter linking, and festive-themed words and phrases.

Guests will also learn to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes, enhancing seasonal stationery pieces such as cards and gift tags. The latter part of the workshop will focus on designing and laying out Christmas cards, gift tags, and a seasonally inspired piece of wall art.

This 2.5-hour experience includes a beautifully presented Calligraphy Box containing a complete starter kit, Mellor & Rose workbook, and luxurious festive stationery items — yours to take home and continue your calligraphy journey.
