About
Never Say Goodbye - Final Solo Acoustic Tour
An intimate evening of songs and stories, plus an open Q&A session.
As the lead singer and songwriter of The Stranglers during their golden period, Hugh Cornwell cast a spell by mixing fact, history, mythology and ideology within the lyrics of his songs. It was a heady mix that lead to the band's success around the world, with The Stranglers championed for balancing experimentation and commerciality in equal measure.
Hugh was responsible for many of the band's most memorable songs across ten stellar albums, consolidating his stature as a unique songwriter and musician. His lyrics to Golden Brown are a songwriting masterclass.
His solo career has produced ten albums of critically acclaimed songs, culminating in Moments of Madness, described as a "later-flowering classic" and "a modern-day masterpiece."
Hugh last performed an acoustic solo show in the UK in 2017 and will be heading out across the country again this November 2026.
Alongside dipping in both The Stranglers' catalogue and his own extensive body of work, he will also perform new songs from his next studio album, Succubus the follow up to Moments of Madness. These songs will be heard for the first time on his tour.
There will also be an open Q&A segment during the show, giving the audience the chance to ask Hugh questions directly.
