About

From her BBC Proms debut with Chineke! to her debut solo album in Spring 2025, Jeneba Kanneh-Mason has impressed audiences.

This journey through piano masterpieces includes Florence Price's remarkable work that combines traditional elements of African American spirituals with expressive Romantic styles.

Jeneba Kanneh-Mason has captivated audiences with her "maturity in performance and interpretation" (Fraser) and her career has blossomed since her WMC debut in 2022. Myriad sonic worlds are explored in this diverse programme – from Bach's poise to Beethoven's drama, from Chopin's elegance to Debussy's lyricism.

The programme culminates in Florence Price's remarkable Fantasie Negre No 1, combining traditional elements of African American spirituals with expressive Romantic styles.
