About

Jazz FM's Nigel Williams Presents' showcases the finest in jazz and soul talent, Jo Harrop is an Award winning recording artist and songwriter, with multiple nominations for UK jazz singer of the year, and will appear fresh off the back of supporting Gregory Porter's UK Tour 2025, including 4 nights at London's Royal Albert Hall. To be accompanied by her talented tour pianist Paul Edis.

Effortlessly blurring the lines between jazz and blues, it is achingly beautiful music, that is so shot through with pathos and pain, it could melt the hardest of hearts. Jo's latest album The Path Of A Tear is an ear-watering slice of mid-70s soul with a sublime shot of jazz and a subtle twist of Americana.

It was rock icon Iggy Pop who gave Jo her first break when he read the 4 star review of her album Weathering The Storm in the Guardian, and played her on his BBC Radio 6 music show stating that she was a 'very fine jazz singer' and described her singing as, 'delicious, I believe her'
