About

This September, a spectacular host of hot air balloons will again take to the skies over the Longleat Estate in their very own hot air balloon festival – the biggest annual gathering of balloons in the UK!

Led by Longleat’s very own lion shaped balloon there will also be a menagerie of special animal shapes including a koala, cheetah, wolf, parrot, panther and owl.

You’ll get breath-taking views (and pictures) during the mass launches and tethered displays. Followed in the evenings by a stunning night glow with a selection of favourite balloons which fire their burners up to an amazing soundtrack – a sight not to be missed!

Daily hot air balloon schedule:

7:00am - Morning Mass Launch

10:30am - Tethered hot air balloon displays

11:30am - Model Ballooning

2:30pm - Tethered hot air balloon displays

4:45pm - Entertainment (see schedule below)

5:00pm - Evening Mass Launch

8:00pm - Night Glow
