About

Experience the tragedy, the pity, and the hope of the Easter story- in the glorious setting of Bath Abbey.

Bath Abbey Lay Clerks & Girls' Choir with David de Winter as Evangelist and accompanied by baroque instrumentalists, Rejouissance.

Over the centuries there have been many settings of the Passion by renowned composers. However, Bach's glorious setting of the Passion (alongside his other masterwork the St Matthew Passion) is the crowning glory of this tradition and is on a much larger scale than any of his predecessors.

As we move through Holy Week towards Good Friday come and hear one of the most moving Christian works ever written by one of the greatest composers who ever lived.
