About

Found just a few minutes' stroll from Bath's spectacular city-centre attractions, The Bird, Bath is a boutique hotel where visitors to Bath migrate to.

Owned by seasoned hoteliers Ian and Christa Taylor, The Bird features 29 thoughtfully designed rooms from spacious family rooms to light-filled double or twin rooms – many with views out over Bath Abbey and The Recreation Ground – to compact but well-furnished cosy rooms at the top of the house. Beautiful pieces of art, Nespresso coffee machines and the comfiest beds combine to create the perfect home-from-home.

Their wonderful restaurant is a sociable, neighbourhood-oriented spot for the city, designed for both local and global foodies. The restaurant also has a kids menu.

With restful public areas and a popular party space, The Bird is easily reached via all main approaches to Bath, and has plenty of parking for guests.

Family-friendly features

Family-sized bedrooms with sofa beds, travel cots and large baths for splash time. Please ask before you book about the best bedroom for your family's requirements. The roomy king and deluxe king rooms are ideal for families, complete with a sofa bed for the little ones.

Younger guests will receive a goodie bag which includes colouring pens and pencils as well as a pack of playing cards. The hotel also has a stack of board games to borrow. Baby-sitting services can be arranged.

Make your little darlings stay that extra bit special with The Bird's Teepees, allowing mini guests to have their own personal retreat, complete with activities and games. Available upon request.

Dog-Friendly

Dogs are warmly welcomed at The Bird. A jar of treats is even kept at reception for a welcome snack. Most rooms are dog friendly, but a larger bedroom is recommended for guests with four-legged friends. Dogs will have a comfy place to sleep, with a dog bed, water bowl, and a Woof Box full of snacks and treats. There is an extra charge of £25 per dog per night.
