About
The Gainsborough Bath Spa occupies two historic buildings with Georgian and Victorian facades in the heart of Bath.
Named after the artist Thomas Gainsborough, the luxury hotel is welcoming and elegant, with 99 custom furnished guest rooms and suites subtly referencing period details combined with modern facilities and comforts, airy and bright with views across the city to surrounding countryside.
Dan Moon at The Gainsborough Restaurant uses only fresh and locally sourced produce to create truly innovative dishes. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, non-residents are also more than welcome. Additionally, the Canvas Room and Gainsborough Bar serve an all-day menu and an extensive selection of drinks.
At the heart of the hotel is Spa Village Bath. Bathed in natural light from the glass atrium, take the waters in the Bath House, with a circuit including two natural thermal pools of varying temperatures, traditional and infrared saunas, a steam room, an ice alcove and elegant relaxation areas. Spa Village Bath also features 11 treatment rooms for indulgent pamper sessions. Non-residents can enjoy a choice of luxurious Spa Days combining a spa treatment with bathing in the natural thermal waters and a spa lunch or afternoon tea.
You can also choose to stay in one of the hotel's exclusive spa rooms, the only hotel rooms in the country to offer in-bathroom access to the steaming thermal waters.
