For those of you who are blessed with good weather during your hen party, why not take full advantage of the beautiful countryside that surrounds Bath? Whether you’re a group of thrill-seekers or would prefer a gentle river cruise, you’ll certainly enjoy getting outdoors and into Bath’s stunning countryside.
Day One
Daytime
For those hens who couldn’t think of anything worse than a spa day, how about enjoying some hilarious and down-to-earth fun at Team Pursuits? You’ll be surrounded by glorious countryside as you unleash your inner Robin Hood and try your hand at archery, fire a shotgun at fast-moving clays and accelerate around the obstacles on quad bikes.
For a day of madness and mayhem, check out West Country Games, where your party can take part in a series of inflatable themed competitions. Fancy dress is actively encouraged!
For something a little gentler, head out on two wheels and explore Bath by bike. There are many great cycle routes, and plenty of lovely country pubs to stop off at along the way.
Evening
Now that you’re fully acquainted with the rest of the hen party, why not bond further still over a good laugh at Bath’s premier comedy club Komedia? The award-winning venue also hosts an extremely popular after dark club night so you can continue to party into the early hours.
Alternatively, Chapel Arts is a wonderful independent arts venue with plenty of live music performances, vintage cabaret and even belly dancing nights.
Day Two
Daytime
For more team-building, head to Bath Escape, where you will go against the clock and see how quickly you can solve puzzles, find clues and escape the locked rooms! There are a number of different themed rooms to choose from, including a haunted house, murder mystery and an outdoor challenge.
For some well-deserved relaxation, take a trip along the River Avon with River Adventures. You can go on a short trip around Bath to Pulteney Bridge or take a longer trip sailing down the tranquil river, with a stop off at the Boathouse Pub for a leisurely lunch or afternoon drink. Alternatively, you can charter the Lady Lena, a Victorian river launch. You’ll be welcomed with champagne, and then settle back for a luxurious cruise.
Evening
How about an entertaining and unique evening out at Bath Racecourse? There are a variety of racing afternoon and evening fixtures and special events taking place throughout the year, including Ladies Days, live music and cider race nights.
If you’d like to keep your evening closer to the city centre, head to The Cork or The Bath Brew House, which both have outdoor terraces and a great selection of beers to enjoy.
