Five Feel-Good Foodie Spots in Bath

One of the standout features of Bath is its abundance of incredible food and drink spots. We’ve teamed up with students at Bath Spa University – who have produced a film and this blog post – to showcase some of the fantastic places where you can indulge in some feel-good food and drink...

Cascara

1. Cascara

Cascara reopened in 2018 as a fully vegan café. Run by Bath local Sus Davy, she opened the café after giving it a fresh lick of paint and a new lease of life. It is now open seven days a week to bring the people of Bath delicious coffee, homemade cakes and tasty light bites – all of which are plant-based!

Good Day Café

2. Good Day Café

A little further down the road is Good Day Café. Also opened in 2018, it has already firmly made a name for itself by offering plenty of delicious food and drink, from breakfast and lunch to lots of sweet treats. With curved neon lights diving through the ceiling, coffee tables filled with succulents and comfy pink velvet sofas, the interior is an Instagrammer’s dream. Perhaps their most illustrious drink is their bright pink beetroot latte – paired with their avocado toast it’s a winning combo!

Yak Yeti Yak

3. Yak Yeti Yak

If you’re after a taste of the East, Yak Yeti Yak is a great choice for an evening meal. Situated near Parade Gardens on Pierrepont Street, their menu is packed with authentic Nepalese food, from spiced dumplings to aromatic stir fry. You’ll also have the option to eat Nepalese-style by sitting on floor cushions at low tables (don’t worry though, they have tables and chairs too!)

Dough

4. Dough

Dough is a family-run pizza restaurant tucked away in The Corridor, but still very much in the heart of Bath. Offering eleven different variations of pizza dough, with many gluten-free options too, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to customising your meal. Try something new with their turmeric base, a striking yellow colour, or swap their traditional sourdough for a unique black rice base. You can also watch their talented ‘pizza acrobats’ showing off their skills when making the pizzas fresh to order.

Sub 13

5. Sub 13

Once you’ve found your foodie fix, what better way to end the evening than with a cocktail or two? Sub 13, at the top of town on George Street, offers award-winning cocktails in a stunning location. From the ground floor gin bar to the cosy basement seating areas and gorgeous heated outdoor terrace, you’re guaranteed to be in for a treat. If you’re wowed by the skills of the bartenders, they also offer Cocktail and Gin Masterclasses – the perfect way to learn the tricks of the trade yourself!
