About

Galahad Tours has won 'Luxury Travel Operator of the Year 2025' and the 'International Tourism Award' at the 2025 regional tourism awards.

This sensational private tour to the City of Wells and to mystical Glastonbury delivers two treasures in one memorable day.

Discover Wells, the smallest city in England and a true gem of the South West. You will explore the historic centre, with its cobbled streets, mediaeval architecture and pretty market square. The city can be traced back to Roman times and takes its name from the freshwater springs which continue to well up in the gardens of the picturesque, moated Bishop’s residence. Its famous 13th Century Cathedral has been described as “the most poetic of the English Cathedrals”, famous for its scissor arches, clock, stunning chapter house and stained-glass windows. Thereafter, stroll down Vicar’s Close, the oldest residential street in the country.

Glastonbury will inspire and intrigue you with its Myths, Mystery and Arthurian Legends. The abbey is reputed to be the burial place of King Arthur and, according to legend, where Joseph of Arimathea arrived with the Holy Grail to establish the first English Christian church. Later, enjoy an entertaining stroll through the village, where ‘alternative’ is the norm! Maybe climb the Tor, an iconic hill steeped in mystery and legend. This magical place, with its unrivalled views, has been a spiritual magnet for centuries.

This-door-to-door service will transport you through the English countryside in the comfort of a luxury Mercedes V Class and return you to Bath at the end of a memorable day.
