A celebration of the 275th anniversary of possibly the greatest composer of all time, Johann Sebastian Bach.

Continuing his project to play the complete works of Bach in this anniversary year, internationally acclaimed organist and Abbey Music Director, Huw Williams.

This is the fifth evening concert in this series – a complete Organ Works of J S Bach. Opening with the attractive Concerto in A minor after Vivaldi, the programme then features most of the works from Bach's published collection the Clavierubung. This collection includes the famous and powerful Prelude and Fugue in E flat (nicknamed the 'St Anne' Prelude and Fugue). The other works are based around the Mass (Kyrie, Gloria, Credo etc). These date from Bach's mature years and will sound magnificent on the fabulous, recently restored Abbey Klais organ.
