A hop, skip and a jump away from one of Independent Spirit of Bath's team members' hometown lies the dominant distillery of the north of Ireland; Bushmills. A distillery license was granted on the land by King James I in 1608 with the Bushmills as we now know it to be, being formed in the 1700s.

Janice has put her time in at all of the big three distilling giants of the Irish whiskey world, which in and of itself is some feat for an industry that once dominated the world of whisky before being reduced to 2 distilleries in the mid 70s. Independent Spirit of Bath are honoured to have her down to the shop for an absolute masterclass in the world of Irish whisky and to tell us why Bushmills has stayed as the jewel of the north that it has.
