About

This workshop, facilitated by Silvia Carderelli-Gronau and Louis Green, will explore Somatic principles to support wellbeing for creatives. We will find internal and external connections via experiential exercises and creative practices, aiming to connect us with our personal needs and discover the interconnectedness between us and our environment.

Silvia is a movement artist, filmmaker, teacher in Higher educator, researcher & dance-movement therapist in Bristol and Bath since 2015. Prior, she lived and worked in Sao Paulo- Brazil, Florence and London. Silvia has been consolidating her practice (Somatics, Ensemble, Embodiment) & the dialogue with creative technologies, interested in how they can support/enhance human experiences. Silvia is the co-director of SEAM coLAB with Swen Gaudl, a resident at the Studio in Bath and a member of the Creative Practice and Embodied Knowledge Research Group at Bath Spa University.

Louis Green is a postgraduate dance and embodiment researcher based in Bath, UK. His work is centred around the psychology and phenomenology of embodied movement practices, with additional interests in queerness, neurodivergence, spirituality, pedagogy and the visual arts. Louis' work has been included in and funded by the Dancing Otherwise network and University of Wolverhampton's Dance Medicine and Science Research Symposium in 2024.
