About

Spend a summer evening in the gardens at The American Museum & Gardens, taking in sweeping views across the Limpley Stoke Valley. As part of the Garden Lates series, guests can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with BBQ and drinks available, alongside live music from a local band with an American flavour.

On 24 July, the museum welcomes Jonnie Melancholy and the Sad Cowboys, a six-piece group known for their infectious blend of country, bluegrass, and transatlantic folk. Their performances feature a rich mix of instruments including fiddle, harmonica, double bass, squeeze box, banjos, guitars, mandolin, and percussion. Audiences can expect rich harmonies, old ballads, love songs, dance tunes, modern classics, and rediscovered gems.

Guests can choose to sit at a terrace table close to the band or relax on the lawn, bringing along a blanket or their own seating for a laid-back evening outdoors.
