Discover the art of creating and decorating your own Nerikiri sweets with a hands-on workshop led by Japanese confectionery artist Ryoko. Nerikiri is a traditional Japanese sweet known for its intricate designs that often reflect the beauty of the four seasons. Made from a blend of sweet bean paste, glutinous rice flour, and natural food coloring, these sweets are typically served at Japanese tea ceremonies.
Workshop Details:
No prior experience required: This workshop is suitable for beginners.
Demonstration: Ryoko will demonstrate how to make two types of Nerikiri, Temari and Tsubaki.
Hands-on activity: Participants will have the opportunity to shape their own Nerikiri sweet into a Tsubaki flower to take home.
Duration: The workshop includes time to explore the museum and enjoy the current exhibitions while it is closed to the wider public.
