About

Avon Valley Railway invites local residents to enjoy a trip aboard one of its steam-hauled trains during the special Local Residents' Weekend.

Residents with a BA or BS postcode can take advantage of half-price travel throughout the weekend. To claim the discount, visitors simply need to bring identification to the booking office on the day of travel, where they will be checked in and issued a ticket for departure.

The journey lasts fifty minutes, beginning at Bitton Station. Passengers will first travel north to Oldland Common before returning south through the more scenic part of the route to Avon Riverside. At either end of the line, there is an opportunity to disembark and watch the locomotive move to the opposite end of the train.

This event promises a memorable and affordable day out for the whole family.
