About
The Love Makers Craft Café offers a creative menu designed for those who enjoy exploring something new in good company—without the need to purchase equipment or worry about cleanup. Guests are invited to take part in a restorative crafting session. Upon arrival, simply take a seat, select an activity from the craft menu, and your chosen project will be brought to the table, ready to begin—with as much or as little guidance as desired.
The craft menu includes a variety of options: carving and printing a personal lino block onto paper or card; block printing a vibrant tea towel using a selection of wooden botanical and geometric blocks; creating a mixed media collage by gluing, stitching, and painting with materials from curated boxes; metal embossing an ornament; or embroidering a hoop sampler to take home.
For inspiration, participants might choose to stitch a portrait of Sulis Minerva, emboss a Roman coin-inspired decoration, collage a favorite Bath landmark or vista, or carve a lino block featuring a peony, pomegranate, or Georgian silhouette. A reference library of design books is available, and guests are welcome to bring their own ideas.
