Design, theatre & history in the 1960s – part of the Queer Bath programme
Oliver Messel, artist, architect, theatre & interior designer, brought his distinctive style to Bath in the 1960s when he designed the new interiors for Bath Assembly Rooms after the building was severely damaged during the Blitz.
In this talk, National Trust curator Dr Emily Roy, explores Messel's time in Bath within the context of the life and work of this important figure in LGBTQIA+ history.
