About

Wissam Boustany will also perform his own composition 'And the Wind Whispered'.

Marc Kawwas was born in Bethlehem in 2006 and started playing the piano at the age of six. He studied at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music before coming to England to continue his studies at Chetham's School of Music.

He won the ESNCM's Concerto Competition in 2018, and has twice reached the finals of the Chopin Prize competition at the Royal Northern College of Music.

He made his London debut last year in a packed Southwark Cathedral, where his rendition of Beethoven's Piano Concerto no 3 won a standing ovation – from both the audience and the orchestra!

Wissam Boustany is an internationally renowned flautist and conductor who is currently president of the British Flute Society. He is chair of PalMusic UK and patron of both Musicians for Peace and Disarmament and the British Suzuki Music Association.
