About

Glenavon Farm PYO Pumpkins offers a delightful seasonal experience, boasting over 20 varieties of pumpkins, including the Polar Bear, Goosebump, Casparita, and Munchkins. Visitors are welcome to pick their own pumpkins without prior booking, simply paying for what they pick on the day.

Guests can also explore the Museum of Pumpkinology, which provides fascinating information on pumpkins, Halloween, and creative uses for pumpkins.

Helpful Hints
Footwear
: Wellies are highly recommended, as the farm does not supply shoe covers.
Clothing: Bring an extra layer to cover your outfit in case it gets muddy.
Post-Picking Pumpkin Transport (PPPT): Bring a bag or cardboard for easy and clean transportation, or use the farm’s seasonal hessian Picking Patch sacks.

Murder Mystery Maze
Visitors are invited to Cap’n Bad Bob’s annual Halloween party at the Pirate Hotel, but the celebration takes a dark turn when a guest mysteriously disappears. Participants will need to use their sleuthing skills to solve the mystery of the murdered skeleton. A Junior Sleuth’s trail is available for younger visitors, while adults can attempt the more challenging Detective’s Maze. Upon arrival, guests will receive a Sleuths Manual with suspects, clues, and codes to help them along the way.

Twilight Maze
On select evenings in October (12th, 19th, and 26th), Glenavon Farm opens the Torchlight PYO Pumpkins and Mystery Maze. With only a torch and wits to guide them, participants must navigate the maze while avoiding eerie sounds and sights. The maze runs from 7pm to 8:30pm, with pumpkin picking, food, and hot chocolate available from 6pm. Maze entry requires pre-booked tickets, and torches are not provided. Suggested age: 10+.

Escape Room
For those seeking a different challenge, the Culinary-themed Escape Room offers a spooky twist. Participants must gather the necessary ingredients to escape from the kitchen, all while avoiding becoming the next addition to the stockpot. This escape room is recommended for ages 13+, and participants can book individually or reserve the entire room for a group of six.

Arts & Crafts
Visitors can embrace their creativity in the Halloween-themed Arts & Crafts area, where they can make wands, decorate hats, craft bat wings, or create witches' potions. With a wide range of materials, guests can design freely, even adjusting their projects as they go. Crafting sessions are available for £6–£7.50 and can be purchased on site.

Photo Spots
Several DIY photo spots are available, including a pumpkin carriage, a giant handmade pumpkin scarecrow, a witches' house, and Halloween-themed dress-up areas in the theatre. These scenic locations provide excellent opportunities for memorable photos.

Glenavon Farm offers a full day of Halloween fun, from pumpkin picking to mystery-solving and creative crafting.
