About

Bath-based artist Joanne Cope presents Reflected Light, a solo exhibition of cattle, stag and equine portraiture at Walcot Chapel, Bath, from 30th June to 6th July.

Renowned for her striking depictions of cattle and horses, Cope expands her practice in this new body of work to include stags - creatures she has long admired for their majesty. Through her exploration of light, reflection, and form, the exhibition invites viewers to experience a connection with the natural world.

Featuring serene, light-filled compositions, including a new series of cattle partly submerged in water, Reflected Light showcases Cope's accomplished approach to light and the animal form. The exhibition offers a moment of stillness and a reminder of our interconnectedness with all living beings.

Cope's work is held in private collections internationally, and she is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists.
