Songs to the lute that explore the delights (as well as the despair) that the dark of night brings, illuminated by musical gems from the early Baroque.

Sopranos Alysha Paterson and Jane Hunt will be accompanied on lute by Din Ghani in English, French and Italian songs in a wide range of styles from lute songs by Dowland to operatic arias by Handel and Carissimi, as well as airs from the court of Louis XIV.
