About

To celebrate the recent acquisition of four Thomas Gainsborough portraits—now available for viewing in the new exhibition Being There—an 'In Conversation' talk will be held between author Emily Howes and Dr. Amy Frost, Senior Curator for Bath Preservation Trust. They will discuss Emily's book, The Painters Daughters, an award-winning debut novel about art, sisterhood, and madness, inspired by Gainsborough's two daughters, who struggled to live up to the idealized images in their portraits.

18:00 – 19:00: 'In Conversation' talk between Emily Howes and Dr. Amy Frost, followed by a Q&A session
