About

The Fulltone Orchestra returns to Bath for one of the most powerful choral masterpieces ever written — Verdi's Requiem.

Verdi's Requiem will be brought to life in the magnificent setting of Bath Abbey on Friday 13 March. A work of breathtaking drama and transcendent beauty, the Requiem takes audiences on an emotional journey from terror and turmoil to hope, light, and ultimate peace.

The evening's programme is packed with unforgettable moments. From the thunderous and electrifying impact of the explosive Dies Irae to the full force of eight trumpets echoing across the Abbey with the mighty Tuba Mirum. A dazzling double fugue of triumphant praise with the jubilant Sanctus and the luminous Agnus Dei, which begins with an exquisite unaccompanied soprano and mezzo duet.

Soaring melodies, moments of hushed intimacy, emotional intensity and scale. Verdi's Requiem is one of the greatest choral masterpieces ever written - an orchestral event that you do not want to miss!
