About
Wild Swim Bike Run offers a unique paddleboarding adventure spanning 43 km of breathtaking southern Cotswold waterways. Beginning in Bath, participants will paddle out of the city along the historic Kennet and Avon Canal, crossing the River Avon twice via the Dundas and Avoncliffe Georgian aqueducts, before arriving at an overnight campsite near Bradford on Avon.
On the second day, the journey continues along the wildlife-rich River Avon, home to otters, beavers, and kingfishers. The adventure culminates with a spectacular finale as participants paddle back into Bath, passing beneath historic bridges, including the iconic Pulteney Bridge above the weir. This final section offers stunning views of the historic city. Along the route, paddlers will navigate portages, weirs, and exciting water races, guided by a qualified white-water coach who will help develop skills, confidence, and an understanding of more technical sections of water.
This is a social and immersive adventure, with tranquil stretches of water winding through lush green valleys, providing a serene escape from daily life. With planned stops at cafés and pubs, the weekend feels like a refreshing getaway.
All equipment is provided, including touring boards, personal flotation devices (PFDs), and overnight expedition gear. Participants will also enjoy a hassle-free experience with Firepot evening meals and breakfasts supplied, ensuring the focus remains on the adventure.
