Stonehenge
You will drive through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside to Stonehenge, arriving when all the crowds have gone and the sun is going down.
This amazing monument was first mentioned as one of the wonders of Britain only seventy years after the Norman Conquest.
It has aroused awe and curiosity ever since. This is your chance to experience it for yourself.
During the drive to Stonehenge there is plenty of information for you to browse through as well as an audio presentation.
This allows you to make the most of your time here.
Please note that the visitor centre is not open during the visit.
Castle Combe Village
Voted the prettiest village in England. An idyllic Cotswold village nestling in a wooded valley.
This has been a movie and historical drama film location for Stardust, Warhorse & Poirot as well as the original Dr. Dolittle.
Time to wander through the village or sit and relax by the stream.
Lacock National Trust Village
This is an unspoilt National Trust village on the edge of the Cotswolds and appears as if trapped in time. There has been no major construction here for the last 200 years.
Featuring in many films and period dramas including: Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, Larkrise to Candleford, and Downton Abbey to name a few.
Lacock Abbey is one of the few remaining Tudor Monasteries which became home to William Fox Talbot, a major pioneer in photography.
During this tour, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional English cream tea or a light supper. Details will be provided by e mail nearer the date of your tour.
