About

A Sip of Nectar' is an exhibition by contemporary expressionist artist Jo Thorne. The viewer is invited on a journey into a paradoxical world exploring the 'in-between' space that lies between the waking world and the imaginary.

Characterised by vibrant colours and a play on light, Jo's paintings reflect on themes such as freedom and nature with some works retaining recognisable elements and others moving entirely away from reality. The works are influenced by the artists love of music and aim to communicate the feeling of pure release experienced when immersed in music and painting.
