Join the American Museum for a fascinating audience with the award-winning author of Orbital: A Novel – Samantha Harvey. Samantha will be discussing her book on stage with Professor in English Literature at Bath Spa University, Ian Gadd, reading extracts and answering questions from the audience. This event is tied to our special exhibition Beyond Infinity: American Space Exploration.

About Samantha Harvey

Samantha Harvey is the author of five novels: The Wilderness, All Is Song, Dear Thief, The Western Wind and Orbital. She is also the author of a memoir, The Shapeless Unease. Her novels have been shortlisted for various prizes, including the Orange Prize for Fiction, the Guardian First Book Award, the Walter Scott Prize, the James Tait Black Prize and the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction. Orbital won the InWords Literary Award 2024, the 2024 Hawthornden Prize for Literature and the 2024 Booker Prize. She is a Reader in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.
