About

Take a turn about a very well-appointed room to chat about all things Regency Romance. From bodice-ripping page turners to swoon-worthy social satires, take them all in your stride and digest the best the genre has to offer! We'll be discussing four different titles in our season of book groups, so take a look and see what captures your imagination in the coming months…

This book group will focus on the Sunday Times Bestseller: A Lady's Guide To Fortune Hunting by Sophie Irwin.

The new queen of regency romance has been crowned! Every page of Sophie Irwin's books drip with charm and pay homage to our city's icon, Jane Austen. Sophie's writerly success has coincided perfectly with the recent popularity of historical romances (thanks in no small part to shows like Bridgerton) and throughout the evening we'll discuss not just the escapades of our book's heroine Kitty Talbot, but also the new glut of romantic stories we're all loving right now. We hope to welcome newfound fans of the Regency Romance genre and folks who are new to book groups, as well as any die-hard fans out there! We can't wait for our evening of bookish chat about the most joyous of genres, and a dazzling new voice within it!

£10 (£5 for under-25s)
