About

Join the Museum of East Asian Art for a conversation with Hannah Lim, contemporary artist and co-curator of our current show Reimaginings.

Shaped by her upbringing in London and her mixed Singaporean and British heritage, Lim works with materials including polymer clay, wood, and metal to create playful sculptures that explore mythology, history, and personal reflections on identity. Reimaginings shows Lim's sculptural creations alongside objects from MEAA's collection that helped to inspire them.

In this talk, Hannah will share more about her art and practice, discussing the inspirations and interests that shape her work, from cultural designs to Classical Chinese literature to Chinoiserie.
