About

Songs and duets with archlute and baroque guitar exploring the pleasures and pains of pastoral love – a popular theme of vocal music from 17th century England, France and Italy. Nymphs and shepherds, fields and flowery banks, and other bucolic images abound.

Musicke in the Ayre's founder, lutenist Din Ghani, will accompany soprano duo Jane Hunt and Philippa Neaverson, using an archlute and a baroque guitar - both made by him.

The programme includes many of their all-time favourites, ones they love performing and sharing.

Refreshments available before and after the performance, which starts at 3.00pm.
