About

Befriend your nervous system, cultivate embodied awareness, and build deep resilience for life.

Workshop Overview
Discover the subconscious drivers of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. Join our somatic-body and polyvagal-informed workshop to explore how we can stay safe, connected, and find joy in work, life, and love as we learn to regulate the nervous networks of our mind and body and cultivate resilience.

What You Will Learn
This workshop is grounded in Polyvagal Theory-based practices, developed by Deb Dana and based on the theory created by Stephen Porges. You will:

1. Befriend Your Nervous System: Learn and befriend the ways of your autonomic nervous system, exploring how and why we shift between states of fight/flight, rest/digest, and engage/connect.

2. Understand Your Survival Responses: Gain an understanding of why the body's natural response to making us 'safe' can sometimes lead us to react to experiences without full realisation or understanding of why.

3. Safety and Regulation: Introduce a basic understanding of how and why our brain and body work in pursuit of safety.

4. Cultivate Embodied Awareness: Start to cultivate an embodied awareness of what your different states of regulation look and feel like to you as an individual.

Key Takeaway & Benefits
Armed with this knowledge, you can begin the journey of befriending this biological system—the creator and witness to your lived experiences since birth—enabling you to:

– Create a Personal Autonomic Map: Develop a personal map of how your body experiences life, providing a guide for cultivating regulation and resilience against life's challenges.

£15 ticket – includes a goody bag and a 20% off shopping voucher to be used on the night/within a month of the event.

The cost of the ticket is also redeemable against treatments with Samuel when booked within a month of the event.
