The upcoming two-hour yoga workshop is designed for participants of all abilities, led by expert teachers Bex Bridgford and Lana King. Drawing from their extensive experience and teaching backgrounds, Bex and Lana offer a comprehensive session that begins with QiGong and breathwork, transitions into Yang and Yin-style yoga practice, and concludes with the calming sounds of crystal bowls and a guided sleep meditation. This immersive journey encourages the mind and body to achieve a state of deep relaxation, enhancing the ability to absorb the healing vibrations of the crystal bowls, known for their profound restorative qualities.
An exciting new element has been added to this upcoming workshop at The Gainsborough Bath Spa Chapel: Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), or "tapping." In addition to the already enriching blend of QiGong, yoga, and sound healing, EFT offers participants the chance to release emotional blocks and deepen their state of relaxation, amplifying the transformative effects of the crystal bowl sound healing.
Set in the peaceful and historic surroundings of The Chapel, this unique workshop promises a truly holistic experience. Participants are invited to tap into relaxation and healing like never before.
About EFT: Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly referred to as "tapping," is a therapeutic practice that merges aspects of psychotherapy with acupressure. By tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on difficult emotions, memories, or physical pain, EFT helps release negative emotions and energy, promoting a sense of calm and healing. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to EFT and guided on how to self-apply the technique for a variety of issues, including anxiety, stress, trauma, and physical discomfort. It offers a simple yet powerful approach to balancing the mind and body.
About the Yoga Teachers:
Bex Bridgford is an advanced yoga instructor with training from top teachers worldwide. Known for her infectious positive energy, Bex integrates her deep understanding of the human body, mind, and spirit into a playful yet insightful teaching style. She believes yoga is accessible to everyone and strives to connect with each student.
Lana King is trained in Forrest yoga, Yin yoga, yoga Nidra, and Vinyasa yoga. She blends philosophical teachings with modern movement, making her sessions both accessible and enjoyable. Forrest yoga, a modern style with a holistic focus on the emotional and physical body, uses intelligent sequencing and breathing techniques to relieve everyday tension and shift energy, making it ideal for relieving the stresses of modern living.
Workshops will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants are advised to bring the following items:
Water bottle
Comfortable clothing
Journal (or paper) and pen
