About

Take some time to slow down at the Museum of East Asian Art with our summer Calm Morning sessions. We are opening an hour early every Wednesday to give you the chance to engage in some slow looking in the quiet of the morning. Deepen your connection with a piece of art using our slow looking prompts and find a moment of mindfulness. Whilst you look, try a cup of chrysanthemum or jasmine tea and enjoy the traditional calming properties of these flowers.

After you have taken the time to engage deeply with a piece of art, explore the rest of the Museum. Visit our current exhibition, In Bloom, and see if your slow looking has changed the way you engage with art during the rest of your trip. What will you see that you didn't before?

Calm mornings take place every Wednesday from June through August. (4 June, 11 June, 18 June, 25 June, 2 July, 9 July, 16 July, 23 July, 30 July, 6 August, 13 August, 20 August, 27 August)
