About
This May half term, families are invited to celebrate all things botanical at No.1 Royal Crescent with a creative drop-in activity inspired by floral art and nature.
Visitors can make their own beautiful origami flower, drawing inspiration from the current exhibition The Botanical World of Mary Delany and Georgie Hopton – A Domestic Arrangement, as well as In Bloom, the nature-themed exhibition at the nearby Museum of East Asian Art (MEAA).
As they explore the historic house, children can spot prints of Mary Delany’s intricate botanical 'paper mosaiks', then try their hand at crafting their favourite flower from origami.
To extend the experience, families are encouraged to visit MEAA afterwards to enjoy more botanical art and take part in a special origami blossom spotters' trail.
This is a drop-in activity, free with museum entry.
Children enter free with a paying adult.
