About

Welcome to the Festival of Libraries - where stories spark, creativity flows, and communities come together.

This year’s festival is packed with incredible experiences for all ages, and the best part is that everything is free.

Highlights include:
• Author talks with James Hawes, Jane Duffus, and S.J. Richards
• A poetry open mic night featuring Poetry Slam Champion Kathryn O’Driscoll
• Children’s theatre magic with The Last Baguette and DragonBird Theatre
• A community jigsaw puzzle day and a board game fun day
• Creative writing workshops with Page One
• Half-term crafts for families and children
• A local author fair, offering the chance to meet local authors and publishers and browse and buy their books

From inspiring conversations to hands-on creativity, there is something for everyone. Whether visitors are book lovers, puzzle enthusiasts, or simply looking for a fun day out, the Festival of Libraries offers a chance to celebrate the power of words and imagination.

Free entry. Free events. Free fun.

Everyone is invited to be part of this unforgettable celebration.
