About

In the 250th anniversary year of Jane Austen's birth, the Holburne Museum's autumn display will offer audiences the opportunity to see the artwork behind some of Austen's most beloved novels.

Focusing on Austen's stories and the characters she created, Illustrating Austen will explore how these characters were originally brought to life on the page and how their depictions have evolved over time, reflecting changing eras and new audiences.
