Bath Assembly Rooms curatorial team have been researching all aspects of Georgian life. With Bath's unique position geographically close to Bristol and frequently visited from London, two major port cities of the time, Bath had one of the highest proportions of Black to White residents in the country.

During the tour you'll be introduced to people of colour from aristocrats to servants and explore the murky ethical situation which shows that nothing in the city of Bath was black and white. Meet George Bridgetower, William Hamlet and Nathaniel Wells as we share the untold narratives of the communities who lived and thrived in Bath.
