Afternoon Tea at No.1 Royal Crescent
Hosted by the Choux Box Patisserie

Visitors are warmly invited to No.1 Royal Crescent for a delightful afternoon tea experience, hosted by the renowned Choux Box Patisserie.

This special event offers three one-hour tea party sessions held in the historic Servants’ Hall. Each ticket also includes access to explore the museum at leisure after the tea. Guests wishing to visit the current exhibition, The Most Tiresome Place in the World: Jane Austen & Bath, may do so for a reduced fee of £2.50, payable at the shop desk on the day.

To celebrate the beginning of the Jane Austen Festival 2025, period costume is encouraged, though not required.

Tea Party Sessions

Session A

  • 12:00 – 13:00 – Afternoon tea in the Servants' Hall

  • 13:00 – 17:30 – Free time to explore No.1 Royal Crescent
    (Museum visits typically take around 1 hour. The museum closes at 17:30; the shop and exhibition close at 17:00.)

Session 1

  • 13:45 – 14:45 – Afternoon tea in the Servants' Hall

  • 14:45 – 17:30 – Free time to explore No.1 Royal Crescent

Session 2

  • 15:30 – 16:30 – Afternoon tea in the Servants' Hall

  • 16:30 – 17:30 – Free time to explore No.1 Royal Crescent

Menus

Menus will be published in due course and will include an adult menu, vegetarian adult menu, and a child’s menu.

Visitor Information

  • Each ticket admits one person.

  • Guests are advised to arrive at least 5 minutes before the session start time.

  • Seating is pre-allocated, with members of the same booking seated together.

  • The Servants’ Hall is accessible by stairs or lift. Guests requiring assistance are encouraged to contact the venue in advance or visit the accessibility page for more information.

Please Note: The Bath Preservation Trust reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice. In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will be notified and offered either an alternative date or a full refund.
